P.E. Structural Consultants, Inc. provided structural engineering services for the replacement of an aging, structurally deficient, and functionally obsolete multiple span bridge carrying rural traffic over the Blanco River. Roadway limitations mandated a shallow superstructure to meet hydraulic requirements. After site visits to confirm existing construction and previously abandoned foundations in the creek bed, PESC engineers carefully laid out prestressed slab beam units to avoid channel obstructions and provide an economical and effective replacement structure. Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) for a 170ft long, 30ft wide structure with a 30 degree skew were delivered successfully to the client. $650K Construction. Completed 2008.
