The CTRMA’s first project, this 11-mile new Toll Road facility includes 21 bridges and miscellaneous structures (retaining walls, drainage structures, sign supports, toll gantries). Bridge structures are multiple-span prestressed concrete beam units spanning lower roadways, creeks and railroad. PESC led development of the aesthetic scheme for all structural elements of the project and production of aesthetic project standards that balanced visual appeal with constructability. P.E. Structural worked closely with the contractor, design team and the CTRMA to develop a plan for distributing aesthetic costs throughout the project.
PESC Staff were the Engineer of Record or played a key role in the design of the following 183A Toll Road Major Bridges:
- 183A NBML & SBML over Brushy Creek Road and Giddings to Llano Railline
- Ramp NB14
- 183A NBML & SBML over FM1431
- 183A NMBL & SBML over Spanish Oak Creek
- Park Street Bridge over 183A Mainlanes
Beyond structural engineering design services, P.E. Structural provided Load Rating Analysis of all bridge structures and construction support throughout the Design-Build process. $238M Construction. Completed 2007.
