Three direct connectors of the proposed eight connectors of the ultimate four level, fully directional interchange are being constructed at the intersection of IH10 and Loop 375 under a Comprehensive Development Agreement (CDA) by Americas Gateway Builders (a joint venture of Zachry Construction and CH2M Hill) for the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority (CRRMA). Connecting the four ports of entry from Mexico into Texas, LP 375 serves as El Paso’s regional beltway surrounding the metropolitan area.
P.E. Structural Consultants is providing structural design of the western and northern approaches to the IH-10 EB to LP 375 NB connector. The superstructures use prestressed concrete Tx54 Girders; substructure will include aesthetically treated concrete hammerhead and straddle bents with column heights up to 75ft supported by mono-shafts. PESC staff are working from our home office in Austin, and also are traveling on a regular basis to the El Paso project office. $146M Total estimated cost. Scheduled completion 2013.
